Lamb Hill News There have a few changes in my life style recently, last September I retired from the best job in the world (for me) as Regional Welfare Officer for the Donkey Sanctuary, I now have to readjust my life style so I do not wake up in the morning wondering how many hundred miles I would be driving that day before I returned home, and realise that the furthest I am likely to drive that day is to go into Bedale to get my Yorkshire Post. However I have far from cut my ties with the Donkey Sanctuary I am very busy giving talks and I was especially pleased to asked to become a Trustee at the Donkey Sanctuary, which means that I get to visit Devon and see my former colleagues at least three times a year. Like London buses things tend to come into twos, the same week as I was invited to become a Trustee I was also asked to become President of the Halifax Agricultural Society, so for the first time in thirty two years I will not be exhibiting a donkey but I will be escorting the Mayor of Calderdale around the show ground.
